Purchase Ledger Clerk

**Key Responsibilities**:
- To assist with the day to day activities within the Finance department, completing all relevant finance administration duties and entering invoices onto SAGE Line 50 or other appropriate accounting package.
**Main Duties**:
- Following the company process to invoices are approved by appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure invoices are accurate, with any queries being dealt with in a timely manner.
- Input the purchase invoices to SAGE.
- Where applicable, deduct withholding tax from invoices and create reports to reflect this.
- Reviewing the Aged Creditor report and preparing payment runs.
- Inputting payments on the bank and Sage.
- Undertaking supplier statement reconciliations.
- Matching petty cash receipts and inputting onto system.
- Matching credit card receipts and checking of the statements & inputting onto system.
- Matching fuel card receipts and checking of the statements & inputting onto system.
- Managing a small internal audit document monthly for cash & banks.
- Working closely with all other roles in accounts.
- General administration eg: filing paid invoices, statements, photocopying, supporting other staff/management with Head Office duties and covering reception when necessary.

**Relationship Management**
- Ensure you deal with all internal and external customers in a professional manner.
**General**
- Promote teamwork within the Company.
- Undertake relevant Health & Safety training within the work place and ensure Company Health & Safety Policies are adhered to at all times.
- Provide support as needed to the Head Office team for example: to ensure cover for holidays and absence.
**Qualifications and experience required for this role**:
- Have experience of working under pressure and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience of working in an environment of this nature.
