The role of the Onboarding & Recruitment Coordinator

Your main responsibilities will be to
- Ensure that all new starter records are updated into the HR System and that individual electronic employee files are created and completed with all the relevant onboarding information for all new employees.
- Collaborate with the wider team to validate/resolve any gaps or issues that are identified to ensure start date targets are met.
- Ensure hiring manager and associated team/s are ready to welcome new staff members and that departmental inductions, buddy’s, equipment, IT access and required training are in place.
- Provide support to all new joiners in connection with the e-learning required prior to start date liaising with the training department as and when necessary, providing information to payroll as required.
- Follow up on DBS Update service membership with all new and existing employees to ensure subscriptions (SCD) remain consistent.
- Support with the management of confidential and complex vetting enquiries.
- Liaise with external agencies as appropriate, such as TrustID, Home Office & DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)
- Support the HR team in ensuring all Right To work approvals are in place for all staff who work on a visa or have a temporary leave to remain.
- Support Managers to ensure that all probationary checks are completed in a timely manner.
- Strongly developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Can work accurately with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well (written & verbal) at all levels.
- Ability to be proactive and use own initiative.
- Can work under pressure with a calm, confident and reliable approach.
- Enjoys working independently with little direction but can also work collaboratively as part of a team. Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Understands what great customer service/experience is and has the ability to deliver it.
- Creative problem solver with a solution orientated attitude
- Tenacious, resourceful and self-motivated

It would be highly desirable for you to have
- Experience of within the Care or Education sectors
- Knowledge of legislation and compliance around recruiting into education and care sectors

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with complex autism aged between 5-25 years.

Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a cutting edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism.

**Qualifications**
A recruitment or HR qualification would be ideal but is not as essential as the right work history and experience within administration, ideally within a Recruitment or HR environment
