We have an exciting opportunity for an organised, flexible Purchasing Coordinator to join our Procurement Department on a full time, fixed term contract for 1 year. The role is key to the delivery and administration of our supplier-to-user chain, ensuring the SMS workforce is adequately provisioned while adhering to procurement guidelines and optimising supplier value opportunities. This role is based full time in Harwell Science Park, Didcot, supporting employees across the UK.

**Your role and responsibilities**:

- Building key relationships with UK wide stakeholders, answering, and administering approved purchases
- Comparing and analysing suppliers for value and financial benefits
- Challenging non-preferred supplier spend through MS Excel reporting
- Supporting with supplier reviews and analysis
- Supporting the management of new vehicle pipeline and vehicle delivery
- Fleet and Purchasing Metrics reporting through Google Docs
- Assessing and adding new suppliers to the supplier roster, and obtaining all relevant insurance paperwork
- Keeping the supplier insurance database up-to-date, and following up with suppliers at the point of insurance renewal
- Managing the mobile supplier account, which involves supporting queries, adding new lines, and managing the asset register

**Your Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Office co-ordination experience, utilising advanced MS Excel to create reporting
- Ability to build key stakeholder, supplier, and customer relationships
- Strong numerical skills, and ability to work with multiple costings / figures
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Full UK Driving Licence

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in supply chain services
- SME business experience
- Evidence of assertiveness with UK wide stakeholders and suppliers
- Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
