HM Treasury in Darlington will be joined by the Department for International Trade, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Office for National Statistics, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the Competition and Markets Authority, the Department for Education and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

The HM Treasury office in Norwich plays a vital role in delivering corporate services and operational functions including finance, HR, payroll, and systems, to the department and its arm’s-length bodies. The Norwich office is home to a number of government departments and agencies beyond the HM Treasury group

**About the Group - **Corporate Centre Group**

The Corporate Centre Group provides a wide range of corporate services to enable people at HM Treasury and many of the other organisations who form part of the Treasury Group (including the Government Internal Audit Agency, the Debt Management Office and the new National Infrastructure Bank) to operate effectively and efficiently. We are a diverse group, both in terms of our professions and in our ways of working.

The Corporate Centre Group is made up of: Commercial; Correspondence and Information Rights; Finance; Human Resources; Information Workspace Solutions (IWS); the Flexible Safer Working and Darlington programme team.

**About the Team -** Group Finance Team**

HM Treasury's Group Finance Team comprises approximately 50 staff. We provide high quality advice covering strategic finance, financial management, financial reporting and counter fraud and risk for internal use, and accurate information for Parliamentary control and public accountability purposes.

We are part of the wider Government Finance Function (GFF), which represents and supports the** **finance community across the civil service. GFF offers a range of developmental opportunities,** **resources, tools, and networks to support us in our roles.

Finance Operations is a small but key team based mainly in Norwich, responsible for the management of all transactional finance activities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank account administration, management of corporate and procurement cards and the contract management of corporate contracts, supporting colleagues across the HM Treasury Group.

Reporting to the Reconciliations Manager, you will work closely with your colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, use clear and confident communication to handle expectations and demonstrate a positive approach in supporting the team to deliver their objectives.

Ideally you will have experience in a transactional finance environment, enjoy working as part of a team and feel passionate about customer facing support. You will also approach issues in a positive and methodical manner, making the best use of available resources and considering value for money.
