**Job Summary**

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
**Payroll Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Monitor the Time Management System (TMS) to ensure colleagues’ clockings are accurate to support the effective processing of the weekly and 4-weekly payrolls.
- Calculate and process any pay variations that occur on a weekly basis.
- Process any paperwork relating to sickness including medical fit notes and return to work documents.
- Monitor and record absence on a weekly basis to compile and send to our payroll team to ensure correct sick payment is made.
- Process overtime payments for salaried staff.
- On a weekly and 4-weekly basis, submit the payroll reports in line with their respective deadlines, including reports for shift premiums.
- Provide advice and support to managers to rectify any pay queries.
- Enroll new starters on the biometric system as well as removing any leavers.
- Manage payments for any bonuses or benefits schemes we have in place e.g. refer a friend scheme/training bonus.
- Maintain the Time and Attendance system with any updates e.g. increased holiday entitlement/data cleanse annually.
- Ensure the efficient processing of all maternity and paternity documentation.
- Set up new starters on our HR system, iTrent, and ensure the correct right to work ID is obtained as well as relevant paperwork
- Process any changes to colleagues’ terms and conditions in a timely manner.
- First point of contact for pay/pension/maternity/paternity/parental leave queries
- Ensure daily procedures and tasks which incorporate checks are completed with a high level of accuracy.
- Solving problems efficiently through own expertise or seeking guidance from others within the company.
- Dealing with conflict situations in a non-confrontational manner.
- Adopt a passive and non-demanding work ethic to achieve agreed and acceptable standard and timescales.

**HR Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Maintain paper and electronic people records ensuring that they are GDPR compliant, conducting audits to ensure documentation is relevant and in-line with accreditation requirements.
- Responsible for all admin in relation to HR matters i.e. absence, maternity leave, retirement, long service awards, etc
- Provide admin support to the HR team as required including on employee relation matters
- Support the HR Team with the generation of reports and analysing statistics
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to the People Team.
- Any other duties relevant to the role.

**About you, you will**:

- You will have previous experience working within a fast-paced office environment, particularly with proven success in a HR administrative role
- You will have strong administration skills with an exceptional level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
- You will be proactive with excellent communication and time management skills.
- You will be self-motivated, be able to work under pressure and can deal easily with ambiguity.
- Previous HR experience is essential.

**A little bit about us and our history**

Jacksons is part of William Jackson Food Group, a sixth generation family business founded by William Jackson when he opened his first shop in Hull in September 1851. Today we have a portfolio of five food businesses in distinct, yet complimentary market areas, employing over 2,000 people.

We have occupied the current site in Hull since 1907 and we now have 3 bread plants in our main bakery. We recently developed a second bakery, also at our site in Hull, which specialises in premium quality roll production.

We specialise in the supply of bread and other carriers to the sandwich manufacturers, foodservice and export channels, and in 2012 we launched our consumer facing brand “Jackson’s of Yorkshire”.

In 2018 we opened a brand-new site in Corby, Northamptonshire - one of the largest investments our Group has ever made - and this will allow us to realise our ambition of being the best at what we do.
