Head of Distribution - International Markets (12-month FTC)

In this role you will focus on the development and execution of a sales distribution strategy aligned with business goals and product underwriters. Focusing on leading and managing the progress of broker distribution strategies you will partner with stakeholders within our International Markets division. As a member of the market management leadership team this role will develop relationships cross departmentally, engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. It is an exciting position for either a London market professional either within distribution or currently underwriting and looking to make the move.

Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible for broker engagement and performance monitoring (inclusive of creating monthly reports).
- Build, monitor and deliver an International Markets distribution plan alongside the Underwriting plan, with clear objectives and timelines.
- Responsible for identifying additional/cross-sell opportunities (possibly outside of EO) for the underwriting teams, and as part of the business plan.
- Responsible for a suite of reports that give International Markets visibility of activities and action.
- Responsible for the coordination and delivery of any strategic broker agreements that sit outside of day-to-day underwriting and ensuring engagement throughout with Partnership Management.
- Liaise with the Head of Sales Operation on IM adoption of Salesforce.
- Promote QBE in the external markets through planned broker and client engagement, liaising with Partnership Management.
- Coordinate sales activity and planning with relevant internal stakeholders i.e. claims, risk solutions, client team and product underwriting.

You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience, or clear potential to develop these:

- Previous experience within the London Insurance market, preferably Lloyd’s business, either with a specific distribution lense or wider underwriting focus
- An understanding of sales/distribution strategies within the market
- Effective networking skills with good relationship management capability
- Proactive approach, with resilience and tenacity
- An understanding of broker relationships and various product lines
- Very organised with effective communication with the ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly.
- Good written and presentational skills.
