We are committed to sustainability and are looking for a passionate and skilled Environmental Coordinator to join our team.
The Environmental Coordinator will play a key role in our ambitious environmental goals by collecting, analysing and interpreting data related to greenhouse gas emissions and assisting in completion of sustainability-related questionnaires.
**What you’ll do**
- **Data Management and Analysis**
- Support the collection, analysis and interpretation of environmental data
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive sustainability performance
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics and performance indicators, tracking progress towards goals and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- **Greenhouse Gas Accounting**
- Application of emissions calculation principles in line with the GHG Protocol
- Collect and analyse large datasets in relation to Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
- **Sustainability Reporting**
- Assist in completion of voluntary sustainability-related questionnaires, such as CDP and EcoVadis
- Research and stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to sustainability, providing recommendations for adaptation and innovation.
- **Collaboration and Support**
- Support sustainability projects and initiatives as required
**What you’ll need**
- **Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in sustainability, environmental management or related fields and desirable but not essential
- **Skills and Competencies**
- Strong passion for sustainability and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of corporate sustainability concepts, frameworks and standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP and EcoVadis) desired
**Additional comments**:
- Hybrid work pattern available, however you must be able to get into our Hatfield office
