**Main Purpose of Position**:
To provide technical support to the factory management team and act as a link between the customer or retailer and factory. Provides the factory with clear standards based on customer expectation and generates compliance metrics against these standards. Provides guidance around all food safety, legality, integrity, and quality issues within the factory, and offers support in the resolution of these issues.

**Key Accountabilities will include but not limited to**_: _

Factory Auditing/Internal Auditing
- Work with Production to audit against agreed factory operating standards in line with customer and BRC expectation.
- Publicise this standard to the factory and coach teams to deliver this standard.
- Highlight and verify non-conformances from daily audits, raising to production teams and support with close out to eliminate reoccurrence.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and annual metrics to demonstrate compliance to standard.

Product Quality Assessment
- Creates a trended site quality score and publishes to the business.
- Support sites quality assessment panels.
- Identifies any gaps in product quality and shares with the site production team.
- Provide support to Shift Manager in investigation of quality non-conformance.

Internal Audits
- Member of the site internal audit team
- Works with site wide teams in closing out identified internal audit non-conformances

Complaint Investigation
- Support Production Manager to investigate of critical complaints, in a thorough and timely manner.

Traceability
- Deliver quarterly traceability exercise
- Work collaboratively across functions to ensure that the 4-hour window is achievable.

Product and Environmental Assessment
- Undertakes independent post clean hygiene inspections along with the Shift Manager
- Undertakes independent post clean hygiene swabs to verify the level of clean
- Collects product samples in line with customer requirements for testing
- Identifies gaps in cleaning systems and works with the Production and Hygiene teams to close these out.

Food Safety Management System
- Work to drive, improve, and challenge the Food Safety Management system through Validations, Verifications and Continuous Improvement

**Qualifications and Experience required include but are not limited to**:

- Internal Audit Qualification
- Min 5 years Food manufacturing experience
- HACCP Level 3 minimum trained
- Knowledge of UK major retailers’ requirements and systems
- Driving licence
- Knowledge of UK and European food legislation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
