It’s an exciting time for us. We are well on our way to becoming the UK’s biggest and best digital insurer; and with this in mind, we are looking for a Digital Product Executive to join our Digital New Business team and assist us in our journey to the top. This is a brand new role created due to company expansion.

The digital product executive is responsible for contributing to the vision and delivery of the digital product. From the initial inception, right through to post-live impact assessments, the digital product executive will help manage the elements needed to improve Hastings’ new business sales journey.

This position helps to increase the commercial performance and customer satisfaction of the new business digital journeys for Hastings. Reporting into the Digital Product Manager, this role focuses on the development and optimisation of the Hastings group websites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support the digital product manager in taking journey changes from concept, through development to post live testing, including the sizing of the opportunity and engaging stakeholders buy-in
- Identify new opportunities to improve the quality of the digital customer journeys and grow customer conversion
- Use quantitative as well as qualitative data sources, to identify commercial growth and customer experience enhancement opportunities in the new business digital journeys
- Be prepared at times to lead in elaboration and gain sign off of user stories ready for development
- Support the development team in understanding and developing journeys which meet business requirements
- Create and manage road maps to clearly articulate what is and isn’t being developed for build
- Build strong relationships with and presenting to key stakeholders. Work to gain stakeholder support to implement the prioritised list of improvements
- Ensure online journey reporting is maintained and operational
- Frequently monitor KPIs to quickly identify any issues, raising for the attention of digital product manager and other relevant stakeholders, including IT
- Investigate these issues to fully understand potential impact to customers and commercial performance
- Regularly review our websites to identify areas of risk or opportunity
- Frequently review competitors websites and wider ecommerce sites to identify new areas of opportunity
- Ensure that you are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes. Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations and any activity that does not place customers’ interests at the heart of how we do business.
- This role will involve collaboration with other product managers and executives, as well as BAs & POs working on the initiatives

Skills, Knowledge and Experience;
- Ability to build and relations to SMEs at a variety of levels of seniority is a must
- Confident in offering opinions and expertise to various teams within the business
- Commercially focussed, analytically minded individual who is enthusiastic about ecommerce, digital marketing and customer conversion.
- High attention to detail, both from a numerical and literacy perspective
- Ability to work well under tight timescales, to effectively handle multiple and concurrent demands,
- Ability to convey a requirement to a development in a clear and concise manner both visually and in writing
- Confident to set own priorities in order to achieve the most commercially beneficial activities

Knowledge & Experience:

- Experience of using online analytics tools and reading data
- Understanding of digital marketing principles and practices
- Knowledge of web development software such as HTML and JavaScript would be beneficial
- An understanding of content management systems and their integrations with digital journeys
- An understanding of web design, UX and UI
- Knowledge of web accessibility
- Have a knowledge of online campaign tracking techniques
- Experience with web site builds
- Experience of a fast moving project and road map management environment

Qualifications:

- Educated to A-Level/GNVQ
- Proven track record of assisting to the delivery of change to a transactional website
- Experience of delivering briefs to an IT development team
- Knowledge and regular use of online analytics data
