**Company Overview**

Esitu Solutions is start-up business comprised of a small team of Traffic and Transport psychologists working together with our clients and partners to develop solutions for improving driver and road safety. Based on scientific research, we create and validate digital driver training and assessment tools specifically for fleet drivers.

**The Role**

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to join our team at Esitu Solutions, working across two projects that aim to improve driver safety. Additionally, the role will contribute valuable support to our ongoing content development for the company.

As part of a small team, you will contribute to designing a virtual reality driving course. This includes facilitating the distribution of a large driver survey, conducting data analysis to identify key themes. Your responsibilities extend to collaborating with an expert stakeholder group to refine these themes and developing a content schedule for filming, involving tasks like route planning, and assisting with VR app design. In the event of securing additional project funding, your role will expand to include executing the project plan, contributing to course development, and assisting in the filming and editing of 360-degree videos.

You will also play a significant role in a project focused on developing and validating a motorcycle hazard test using video-based content. Responsibilities include selecting suitable sections of video footage, contributing to the editing process, and supporting a focus group of advanced motorcycle riders. You will play a key role in the data collection phase, analysis, and any required reporting/dissemination. Please note that this project may involve travel within the UK for testing purposes.

While the primary focus is on the mentioned projects, the distribution of duties and responsibilities will be determined through discussions with the post holder’s line manager. The post-holder is also expected to contribute to research, dissemination, and engagement activities associated with the company's work.

This post will be offered on a fixed term contract for 8 months, though we hope it will be extended further.

- Post graduate qualification or PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced driving qualifications
- Adobe Premiere Pro CC Certified Expert certification or equivalent.
- A motorcycle licence

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**

- Knowledge of relevant psychological theories and research design.
- Knowledge and experience of conducting and interpreting statistical analysis.

- Knowledge of traffic and transport psychology
- A strong understanding and experience of video editing software and techniques in at least a 2D format (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent).
- Ability to edit high-quality videos with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management processes and methodologies.
- A good understanding of different video formats and codecs.
- Experience in 360-degree video editing.
- Experience with using virtual reality headsets.
