**About the Role**

Our Front of House Team are the stars of our resort who warmly welcome our guests and are their point of contact throughout their stay with us. We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Hall Porter to join our team, on a full-time basis of 40 hours per week until 31st October 2024. You will support our team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring all guests have a memorable and magical stay.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Old Course Hotel Arrival Responsibilities**
- Greet guest with “sense of arrival” by using proper greeting and last name.
- Ensure that guests are met before arrival at the hotel’s lobby.
- Ensure guests are introduced to the Receptionists.
- Upon identification of guest and room number, analyse the logistics and the most efficient procedures of bringing luggage to guest’s room.
- Ensure that once in the guest’s room, hang any garments in the closet and explain the closet amenities and place any luggage on a luggage rack. Proceed to explain the guest directory, TV, bathroom fixtures, lighting, fire exits, and retrieve ice if requested.
- Park guest’s vehicle if required or give directions to our parking areas.
- Perform Doorman duties as required by the business.

**Old Course Hotel Departure Responsibilities**
- Promptly and courteously greet guests with the proper greeting and use their last name.
- Remove luggage from guest’s room and bring it to the appropriate area, lobby, parking area, store in storage closet, or load into guest’s vehicle.
- Retrieve vehicle when requested.

**Message and Delivery Responsibilities**
- Deliver messages from Front Desk or Concierge to guests.
- Deliver newspapers to guest’s room upon request.
- Deliver amenities or a package to guest’s room.
- Any other miscellaneous deliveries required by guests or hotel staff.

**Work Area Responsibilities**
- Maintain a clean work area, including Library, Business Centres, Entire Lobby, Concierge Desk, and storage closet. Furniture should be arranged properly, and debris should be picked up continuously.
- Be aware of the outside facilities and make sure to maintain a clean front entrance.
- Doorways and outlying areas swept daily.
- Outside urns are kept clean
- Clean any handprints or dirt on the windows.
- The front door and walkway are properly lit.

**Transportation Responsibilities**
- Assist with transportation when necessary.
- Valet Park vehicles
- Transport guests to and from Leuchars Airbase
- Carry out any Leuchars-related tasks as required.

**About You**

You will be an enthusiastic, friendly and confident individual who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will enjoy working as part of a team but can also work independently, following evening work plans. Ideally, you will behave previous service experience within hospitality though not essential and have a full clean Driving License.

**Salary**

This is a seasonal contract working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7 including weekend work. A competitive salary of £24,481.60 is offered along with a vast range of associate benefits.
