Business Migration Lead

The Business Migration Lead role reports to the Head of Business Change, with the primary focus of managing the migration of existing/new clients onto TAS’ new digital pension product.The role is business facing, and will partner Client RelationshipManagers, Operational Teams and Heads of Business Development and Commercial to define and drive best practices of business adoption to ensure successful implementation of our new product offering, which includes:
- Partnership with Business Change Lead to plan and implement the client rollout strategy.
- Delivery of the client rollout plan and associated business change activities to ensure successful business adoption.
- Identification and management of dependencies between operations and technology.
- Co-ordination of the customer onboarding journeys.
- Enabling of the customers to realise value against their adoption journey.
- Providing logístical and operational support (testing, training and communications) to operational teams throughout the transition period.
- Managing the output of deliverables across the business change team members engaged in the programme.
This position is aligned to our hybrid working style, predominantly based from home with travel to the office once a week.

Key accountabilities include:
Business Engagement
- Proactively manage relationships with clients in partnership with CRM’s and internal stakeholders.
- Build partnerships across technology and operational teams to understand and manage the impact of change.
- Develop industry and client awareness to understand complexities of change across the department.
- Have knowledge of relevant management and business change techniques.
- Support and attend project and programme steering committees.
- Take the lead on transition management, ensuring that business as usual is maintained during transition.
- Build an awareness of operational activities and partner with the Head of Operations to ensure mínimal impact to BAU.
Planning
- Define and drive a governance structure to manage client rollout and adoption.
- Establishing accurate and timely reporting standards against committed deliverables.
- Ensure consistency in approach to planning business readiness aspects for all clients.
- Collaborate closely with technology project and programme managers to co-ordinate a seamless handover of build to operational readiness.
Delivery
- Work collaboratively with client managers, operational teams and clients to capture client specific business implementation requirements.
- Manage the delivery of business and client acceptance plans and reporting metrics.
- Maintain a constant focus on post-transitional operations to identify and resolve any business impacts.
Best Practice
- Define and maintain a comprehensive run-book of repeatable rollout steps for each client migration, factoring in lessons learnt from each adoption.
- Actively drive and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase impact and success of project.
- Create and maintain high standard planning and reporting artifacts.
- Challenge status quo to provide innovative solutions to difficult problems.
Commercial Awareness
- Work closely with the Head of Product, Commercials and Business Development to understand the revenue model of the new product offering, providing impact assessments to any change/deviation against committed rollout plans.
**The Requirements**
Knowledge
- Highly experienced in project management embedding business change, with experience across Waterfall, Scrum and hybrid (W-Agile) methodologies.
- Previous experience in provisioning of new digital products and/or migration of large scale technology systems.
- Pension knowledge advantageous but not essential.
Skills
- Proven leadership experience in achieving successful project outcomes.
- Track record of delivering strong results in large scale/complex software development projects.
- Experience working with distributed software development products and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teamwork in and across teams and organizations.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals, including project metrics and dashboards.
- Strong ability to identify potential issues and dependencies early.
- Quickly facilitates mitigation plans, alternative approaches and communication of risks.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint beneficial.
- Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of recognized Project Management frameworks e.g. Prince 2, PMBOK.
