Office Administration Assistant

JSM Partners are a fast growing modern firm of accountants based in Peterborough. In every sense we try to do things differently and disrupt the normal boring accountant stereotype. Examples of this include a relaxed dress code, music in the office and three o'clock friday's where the whole office heads to the local for a few well earned drinks (with JSM picking up the tab).
We are still a young company (just over 2 years old) therefore there is fantastic progression available for those who are willing to work for it.
**Position Description**
This position will also provide administrative support throughout the firm as needed, including human resources, recruiting, marketing, and IT. This includes firm projects, events, and various tasks.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provide support where needed in any aspect of the firm including:
- Assist with gathering information for the accounts and tax team
- Word process documents throughout the firm, including proposals.
- Receptionist support as needed.
- Support to the partners and/or managers throughout the firm; copy jobs, binding, scanning, printing labels, or other special projects.
- Prepare and execute firm mailings, both paper and electronic.
- Assist the management team on special project while maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide support on a per project basis.
- Other Functions:
- Attend events and represent the firm.
- Update and maintain firm database and CRM. Process new or lost clients.
- Run firm errands.
- All other duties assigned.
**Dimensions**
- Position requires that this person be flexible with his/her schedule to meet federal deadlines. Extra hours required during all deadlines.
**Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience**:
- Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have strong word processing skills.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to proofread work.
- Data entry experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to manage his/her own workload and schedule.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and possess strong organisational skills.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with diplomacy.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Must be detail-oriented, make independent judgement, and have a desire to provide a quality product.
- Must be able to speak fluent English.
