This is a post working within the Addictions Directorate Performance Information Team. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of operational reporting as well as wider information and analytical services to the Directorate. The post holder will also have responsibilities aimed at maintaining quality and content of data held within relevant information systems (e.g. SystmOne, NDTMS, and Gambling DRF). The post holder will also support the analytical work of the Addictions Directorate, inputting and processing information in accordance with procedures. The post holder will also be responsible for responding to enquiries from customers and data providers.
- Extracting, analysing and presenting data from a range of Trust internal (e.g. SystmOne, Tableau) or external (e.g. NDTMS/DET) information systems and in response to the specification for information by the Performance Team, directorate, division and operational colleagues, as well as Trust management and external organisations.
- The production of routine and non-complex ad hoc information reports/analysis as required by the Directorates, wider organisation and external commissioners, partner organisations or key stakeholders.
- Support the timely submission and monitoring the data quality of the commissioning and performance datasets and other statutory returns.
- To support senior members of the team in project work and the development of new processes.
- To provide advice and guidance and training to users use of reports / data sets supplied.
- To assist in the development of a data quality monitoring programme and to work with the Performance Manager and local services to resolve identified problems.
- Work with colleagues to carry out an ongoing programme of Information Governance
- Assist / train new members of staff when required.
- Other duties consistent with the grade as directed by the Addictions Performance Manager.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

COMMUNICATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- To provide and receive information which may be complicated e.g. discussing data queries with colleagues, data providers or customers.
- To work closely with and manage communications with local services, internal and external information services, and wider Trust colleagues.
- To liaise with staff at all levels of the Directorate and wider Trust (including Directors) as well as national information service staff.
- To ensure that recipients of reports/information are fully briefed about the information contained within and any functionality provided. Responsible for identifying any quality issues within datasets used and notifying senior staff and the system owner of the issue.
- To present information to a high standard to a number of internal and external staff.
