Proforest is a mission-driven organisation with a 20+ year track record of supporting the transition to sustainable production and sourcing of agricultural and forest commodities. We are a not-for-profit group with a global presence across Latin America, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia, and work with governments, the private sector and civil society to deliver positive outcomes for people, nature and climate in the places agricultural commodities are produced.
**Job Description** About the role**
Working closely with the Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a functional and organised workspace, establishing efficient administrative processes and providing comprehensive administrative support to our busy teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- General administration support to various team members as and when required
- Assisting with logistics for staff meetings and events
- Maintaining office environment; keeping it tidy, safe and in good working order
- Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers
- Procurement of office supplies and equipment
- Coordinating equipment allocation
- Ensuring maintenance and repair of equipment
- Ensuring workstations and meeting rooms are fit for purpose
- Identifying any issues throughout the office.
Please note that this role does not involve working on our sustainability/environmental work and therefore not suited to someone who has a desire to work in this field of work.

- Proven ability to be flexible in your approach to working; happy to pick up a variety of tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a diverse team and engage with external suppliers
- Strong organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to problem solve
- Experience working with MS office
- The ability to work independently when required.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience working within a multi-cultural environment.

Location: Central Oxford, please note there is no parking available.
**Salary**: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Hybrid working: Due to the nature of this role we require you to be in the office. However, working from home is possible on occasional days once established in the role.
