We have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Studies Coordinator to join the Courses Team within the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR). You will be responsible for all aspects of on-course undergraduate studies and examination administration and work closely with the Director of Undergraduate Studies and Examination Convener and liaise regularly with other members of teaching staff. Politics is taught to undergraduate students as part of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) and History and Politics (HP) degree programmes, and the post-holder engages in extensive and regular liaison with course administrators in the relevant departments, as well as with partners in Sociology, Social Policy and Intervention, and Human Sciences.

We'd like to hear from you if you have a proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong IT skills and first rate organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience of complex administration, including developing and improving processes is a must as is the ability to anticipate problems and identify appropriate solutions. Experience of working with students and staff from a range of international backgrounds would be an asset. The appointment is permanent with a 36.5 hour working week and 38 days’ annual leave, which includes 8 public holidays and 5 days taken during the Christmas closure.
