Connect2Luton are excited to recruit for a Customer Support Officer on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their Population Wellbeing department

As a Customer Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing a front line customer service as part of a responsive repairs control centre.

To be successful in this role you must be able to provide full administrative support to different departments within the BTS.

**About the Role**:

- Provide a customer focused front end service for the reporting of repairs through telephone contact with customers.
- Follow administrative procedures in relation to a variety of processes such as job ticket completion, electric appointments and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Use initiative, skill and experience to make informed decisions to resolve queries and telephone enquiries at first contact, escalating only the most complex cases.
- Maintain on a day to day basis all Building and Technical Services IT and information systems, including ensuring data is correct, current and entered accurately.
- Undertake the administration of meetings for managers relating to disciplinary procedures, capability and sickness absence, including taking minutes of interviews and hearings as required.

**About you**:

- Ability to demonstrate the experience of dealing with front line enquiries from members of the public.
- Ability to demonstrate the experience of administrative systems and processes.
- Ability to demonstrate construction and call centre experience.
- Able to communicate effectively and politely, in writing and verbally, with a range of people.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to calculate cost of goods from unit costs and to calculate VAT amounts.
- Able to produce comprehensible reports and maintain written work records.
- Able to work to procedures, guidelines and targets / deadlines.
- Able to travel around the Borough as and when needed.
