It’s an exciting time to join our Property team at Sainsbury’s. We’ve brought our facilities management function in-house and are having a group wide approach across our brands to ensure that the facilities within our corporate, retail and depot operations are led with a strategic lens to meet cost efficiencies and our Net Zero targets.

As a Regional Corporate Office FM Manger, you’ll be responsible for the FM operational service delivery within the Corporate Office portfolio in the South, ensuring all buildings are compliant, able to operate and maintained safely to a high standard. You will actively monitor and manage the service delivery and health and safety from our contractor base in your Corporate Office portfolio and work with the contracts manager to improve service delivery. You will actively manage the extra to contractual work budget of £1M+ within your allocated areas, supporting the availability of our key assets and condition of our building fabric across the Corporate Office estate. Working collaboratively with the wider property team, you will play an active role in the investment process, managing the handover including warranties for all FM aspects for both new Corporate Office buildings and investments. You will actively play a key role in supporting sub-tenants to ensure we work collaboratively, delivering our needs and us as a landlord supporting tenants.

- Responsible for the operational service delivery of your allocated Corporate Offices.
- Responsible for ensuring Corporate Offices meet building fabric and FM asset legislative and SSL diligence requirements.
- Accountable for managing the risk associated with the complexity, impact, and uptime of Corporate Offices to ensure operational risk is managed to deliver our business needs.
- Responsible for the FM standards in Corporate Offices ensuring all areas of compliance are adhered to and fit to trade.
- Responsible for maintaining the resilience and dependencies across the supply chain network for all FM aspects.
- Managing and influencing our FM contractor base on a day-to-day basis, ensuring service level adherence and quality assurance of work completed.
- Responsible for ensuring FM tasks are completed and aged work orders are proactively managed to closure.
- Identify root cause trends and priorities within the worst performing asset categories across Corporate Offices in your allocated areas.
- Collaborate with the Contract Managers team to offer operational and analytical support to improve and enhance service delivery.
- Take the operational lead in the event of a major FM incidents affecting trade that needs instant response and management to resolve
- Work in partnership with the wider property team to take the lead for all FM aspects in the event of a Corporate Office
- Work cross functionally while using insight, knowledge, data, and root cause analysis to create pro-active solutions to mitigate issues before they become problems for colleagues and customers in our Corporate Offices
- Responsible for managing and delivering the FM revenue extra to contract spend of £1M+ on your allocated regions, ensuring warranties are adhered to and spend is approved appropriately.
- Responsible for building relationships with Corporate Office stakeholders to ensure a high level of service
- Responsible for managing all planned events in the Corporate Offices you manage to deliver the business needs to a high standard (example Results, AGMs, auditorium events)
- Organise and chair pest escalation meetings within the required timescales as set out in our procedures
- Responsible to manage all buildings relations in relation to sub tenants or landlords where applicable to ensure Sainsburys or tenant are getting regular minuted meetings to support the business
- Conduct regular building walks to ensure building standards are maintained
- Build strong relationships with Sainsburys Tech to support building and colleague expectations in line with new ways of working
- Working on an on-call rota basis, to provide FM service coverage

- Experience working with multiple service providers
- Exceptional communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Significant experience in stakeholder management
- Manage and motivate virtual teams
- Budget management experience
- Looks for ways to improve the service to the Corporate Offices in your remit while being cost conscious through effective planning.
- Strong financial capability, with the ability to prioritise spend to drive efficient service and maximise efficiency.
- Able to prioritise and review key capital priorities versus the revenue priorities
- An understanding of building design and regulation
- Strong influencing ability to be able to change behaviour
