Applications are invited for the role of School Research Grant Assistant within the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences. This post is primarily dedicated to supporting research grant administration in the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, whilst also supporting other institutions across the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences as part of a wider, flexible team of School Research Grant Assistants.

**The School Research Grant Assistant will**:

- provide financial and administrative support and guidance across the full grants lifecycle to academic, research and administrative staff, to enable effective and efficient grant management.
- be an excellent communicator with the confidence to relate to a wide range of people and to be an effective team player with a flexible approach.
- possess high level organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.

The successful applicant will join a team of experienced research grant personnel, working collaboratively across the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

This a full-time role, based at the McDonald Institute, Downing Street for two days per week, at the School Office at 17 Mill Lane for one day per week, with the opportunity to work remotely two days per week. Hours and working pattern can be discussed at interview.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.
