As a Grant Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting research-active staff across the School and wider University in making successful funding applications. You will work closely with researchers, advising them on effective research funding management policies and supporting them throughout the application process.

The role involves enhancing research activities and promoting proactive grant management practices. Key responsibilities include drafting and delivering reports on research activity within the School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support research active staff in applying for sponsored research
  • Provide advice to faculties/centres on setting up successful grant applications
  • Draft and deliver reports on research activity within the School

Requirements:

  • Education to HND, HNC level 4/5 or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with research grants or accounts-based experience essential
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and researchers at all career stages

This is a fixed-term position available for 24 months. We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working or other flexible working arrangements.

Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
