We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Research Grants Coordinator to join the University of Cambridge School Office team. The successful candidate will work closely with research-focused staff across the School and wider University, supporting researchers in making successful funding applications.

The role involves assisting the School in achieving excellence in research and raising additional income through proactive promotion and enhancement of research activities. This includes supporting individual research staff throughout the applications process and advising on effective research funding management policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support research active staff in applying for sponsored research throughout the applications process
  • Provide advice to faculties/centres on setting up successful grant applications
  • Draft and deliver reports on research activity within the School

Requirements:

  • Education to HND, HNC level 4/5 or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with research grants or accounts-based experience essential
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and researchers at all career stages

This is a fixed-term position available for 24 months. We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working or other flexible working arrangements.

The estimated salary for this position is £27,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
