Be the main point of contact between in day production activities withvehicle resourcing, people resourcing and the providers of services tostaff, Undertake tasks and actions as directed by the Tactical Commander Receive and record staffing information and where necessary ensurethe allocation of staff who have the relevant skill levels needed toundertake the roles and responsibilities required To deal effectively with conflicting situations when decisions are Be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages i.e.: Word, Outlook andExcel etc and regularly use a computer to produce reports, recorddocumentation and monitor daily activity within EOC. Able to effectively review and interperate data as well as proficientdata entry capability.

To support meetings and conference calls through minute taking andpreparing reports to a high standard ready for dissemination to seniortrust managers and external stakeholders. Receive information and communication from a wide varity of seniormanagers and staff. Escalating issues to the duty tactical commander. Maintain accurate records of vehicles with their call signs and place onappropriate database, any extra vehicles.

To be able to utilise and interrogate EEAST CAD system to retieveinformation for which decisions can be based on. Coordinate effective handover at shift change times with a particularfocus on reducing late finishes Monitor rest break compliance. Ensure adherence to service policies and procedures. Support the team as required in the event of any significant or majorincident Update, maintain and utilise the Trust Major Incident call out page.

To undertake all duties within the Tactical Cell as laid out in the dailyprocedures policy to ensure that performance standards are achieved. To maintain, utilise and update any of the databases used for thepurposes of the Tactical Cell and develop and maintain electronic databases for audit and monitoring. Participate in ongoing service quality review. To assist in the training of other colleagues where appropriate.

Utilise communication mediums including phones and digital radiosthrough EEAST ICCS systems to speak with operational crews andmanagers to clearly pass and receive information sometimes duringpressured situations. Be responsible for maintaining professional and personal developmentand ensure up to date knowledge of all systems, policies andprocedures and changes to service provision. Report and support the management of Hospital closures and diverts.Monitoring build-up of resources at Hospital sites across the area,identify causes and ensuring local management teams are deployedwhere possible to assist in avoiding excessive delays of vehicles athospital. Making initial contact with the hospital to receive offloadplans, escalating concerns appropriately To obtain and reconcile details of Management cover, ensuringadequate support is available to support the smooth running of theOperational needs of the Service Detailing entries in incident log of all decisions and interventionstaking place within the Tactical cell.

Other duties appropriate to the grade as and when required, underthe direction of line manager Reducing out of service times. Using detailed and developed judgement skills to identify and reportany incidents that could affect performance and service delivery soincident and delivery teams are able to respond rapidly and effectively to changes and demand in patient care, working practices, external and internal factors;To provide administration support to the Tactical Cell manager with staff planning, annual leave management including processing of annual leave requests while confidentially and securely handling staffpersonal files and sickness recordsTo be allocated a role by the tactical commander during a significant or major incidentResponsible for the population and amendments of senior manager on call rotas Ability to comprehend, interpret and disseminate constantlychanging and often complex or highly sensitive information. To effectively liaise and provide information to all EEAST staff,emergency services and other agencies Ensure Operational and Senior Managers are informed daily of allmatters of significance. Participate at Performance Meeting when necessary, ensuringdetailed liaison between Tactical cell and Senior Managers onissues arising which may impact on performance and maintainaccurate and complete records.
