We have a fabulous opportunity for you as a** full-time Digital Communications Coordinator (Maternity Cover) **working within our small but busy Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team. You will be instrumental in promoting the work of Big C to a wide range of audiences and have experience in digital and social media.

**About Big C**

As a regional cancer charity, Big C are dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.

There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to make sure that no one is missing out on the opportunity to access our support.

Big Cs work focuses on 6 key areas:

- Support for people affected by cancer
- Research into cancer
- Equipment provision for the regions main acute hospital trusts
- Education provision of interventional and presentational education programmes
- Income Generation raising vital funds to improve the lives of people living with cancer
- People Big C service users, their loved ones, Big C trustees, staff, volunteers and fundraisers

**About the role**

In this varied and interesting role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Big Cs social media platforms, creating video, photographic and written content that promotes the work of charity and engages with our supporters, volunteers, healthcare and research communities and service users. You will act as an ambassador for Big C cancer charity promoting awareness and endorsing the aims and objectives of the charity.

The working hours are **35 hours per week**, usually worked between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm but will include occasional weekend and evening work. Some out-of-hours work may be necessary and if work is carried out time in lieu will be given.

Job Share is considered with a split of responsibilities between digital media and social media, please state your preference in your covering letter.

This is a **12 month fixed term** maternity cover contract, therefore the contract may end sooner if the person who is being covered returns to work.

You will be based at Big Cs office in Centrum, a bright and modern building on Norwich Research Park. The team are currently working a hybrid model of home and office allowing some flexibility in working hours. Additionally travel across East Anglia will be required to work from other Big C premises and to attend events from time to time.
