**Function**:** Main purpose of job**
- To manage HR/ ER related operational activity; for example, absence management, dealing with employee relations or policy issues
- To coach and guide the site leadership in best people practice, for example talent management, engagement and welfare
- **Key tasks**
- To ensure all HR process associated with the employee lifecycle are effectively managed and recorded, including but not exclusively:

- Recruitment; disciplinary and grievance; absence management; performance management; the review process and talent management; changes to terms and conditions
- To maintain a suite of HR metrics; for example:

- Absence; turnover; internal progression; recruitment costs; hours reconciliation
- To ensure that HR information is transparent and easily accessible to all

To ensure all daily/ weekly and monthly reporting is completed accurately and on time
- To provide guidance to managers and team members on relevant policies and best practice as required
- Providing guidance on people practices such as talent management, engagement and welfare
- Questioning and challenging others to get to the root of people issues, ensuring a fair and balanced approach is taken
- To ensure absolute discretion over all sensitive data and ensuring that all employee data is maintained within GDPR guidelines
- To promote and create a continuous improvement culture through identifying areas for improvement and positively acting on them

- Skills in relationship building and influencing are essential
- The ability to use data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decision making
- The confidence to challenge from a point of knowledge, either through experience, qualification or research****:

- Diligent and accurate
- Accessible and approachable - not afraid on being ‘hands on’
- The desire to learn and develop
- CIPD qualified or relevent, proven experience

**Proposal**:
The full time salary for this role will range from £31,000 to £38,000 depending on experience. Ideally, the role will be full time, but we are flexible and happy to discuss part time hours too, as finding the right person is our most important criteria. The role is predominantly site based, but we happy to support an element of home working and will be happy to discuss this.
