Job
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records which includes purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Our new Bookkeeper will work closely with our business team, the Commercial Director and report into the Financial Controller.
Daily Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions
- Post bank and reconcile these accounts
- Maintain Accounts inbox and respond to all queries in a timely manner
- Accounts Payable:
- Post all supplier invoices and allocate to the correct nominals and project codings
- Reconcile the supplier ledger
- Collate a weekly payment run
- Accounts Receivable:
- Raise all client invoices according to contract
- Reconcile the debtor ledger
- Credit control
- Run a weekly aged debtor report for review
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger
- Update project budgets and maintain costs on each project
- Log all deposits with our warranty company and sign off completed installs
- Maintaining insurance policy schedules
- Registering and maintaining fuel cards
- Complete tax forms (incl. VAT, CIS etc)
**Requirements**:
Solid understanding and experience of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office 365
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
**Salary**: £19,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
