**About the Role**
As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing efficient delivery and collection plans that meet the needs of the business and customers. You will ensure compliance with transport policies, procedures, and applicable legislation while optimising operational effectiveness.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the transport operation on a day-to-day basis whilst providing updates to both internal and external customers.
**Responsibilities**
**Health & Safety**
- Develop and maintain a safe work environment by proactively monitoring, raising, and addressing safety observations and near misses.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety standards, including PPE requirements, and that all vehicles are fully equipped with the necessary safety equipment, load security measures, delivery aids and required vehicle accessories.
**Customer Service**
- At work, you must display the company values: make it safe, make it better, make it together and make it happen.
- You will be expected to provide a professional image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
- It is your responsibility to plan, organise, and coordinate the daily operational requirements for deliveries, exchanges, and collections through the Satalia routing system, in order to meet the business and customer requirements.
- You must also monitor the key transport performance indicators, such as route and smart phone compliance, job completion, and on-time performance.
- Additionally, you must contribute to reduce wasted journeys by proactively calling collections to confirm readiness for collection as well as proactively managing problematic collections the same day.
- At the end of each shift, you must complete a thorough debrief with all drivers to ensure accurate confirmation of jobs and detail any shortages, overs, returned deliveries, or delivery issues.
- You must also coordinate all paperwork and ensure all systems are up to date for accurate delivery and stock integrity levels.
- Finally, you must promptly and professionally answer and deal with both internal and external customer inquiries and assist in other departments when necessary.
- Optimise driver performance by consulting with drivers on compliance, performance, and process adherence.
**Compliance**
- Manage and coordinate the movement of vehicles, to service agents for scheduled maintenance and defect repairs in line with transport regulations and o licence requirements.
- Assist drivers in carrying out daily vehicle inspections, load security and load management, escalating any issues to the Transport Manager.
- Maintain all sites and company vehicles in compliance with our brand standards.
- Support the Transport Manager in ensuring transport and o license compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all systems, procedures, and processes.
