Overview:
**Job Summary**

To provide a flexible, responsive and efficient day to day Airside Trucking - Transport operation at your airport ensuring that customer requirements are met and exceeded within the appropriate manpower available. Customer contact and management of the team to ensure that the highest standards are achieved is very important. Health and safety Policies, Ramp Awareness and Operational Excellence will play a key part in this role.

- The following responsibilities are associated with this role:

- Manage the day-to-day allocations and other resources to meet customer requirements as directed by the duty manager
- Ensure that the shift manager is regularly and accurately informed of operational progress
- Deal with customer complaints proactively and ensure that the duty manager is regularly and accurately informed.
- Collate and prepare all operational paperwork and to meet Company timescales
- Ensure Time and Attendance System is update accurately
- Ensure available resources are used to the optimum level (monitor and control overtime payments)
- Ensure a comprehensive and accurate handover is given at the start and end of each shift
- Maintain a proactive and positive approach to customer requirements, referring where necessary to your Department Manager.
- Contribute to Recruitment, Health and Safety, Training, Performance Management and all Company Policies including Grievance, Disciplinary and Equal Opportunities to ensure that the needs of the business are met, seeking support from the respective senior management team where necessary.
- Play a proactive part in meeting the Company Business objectives.
- Contribute to the monthly status report on your base, detailing any operational delays/incidents, additional work achieved etc and any other detail as from time to time may be required.
- Ensure relevant administration duties required daily, weekly, monthly as required by Head office are completed.
- Ensure compliance to relevant Quality standards
- Create & maintain a progressive, open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees.
- Resolve all customer service challenges in a timely manner and assist in negotiations with new customers.
- Coordinate return to work paperwork for sick team members.
- Ensure Compliance with all Uniform & PPE Requirements.
- Hold Team Briefings
- Any other duties as may be requested from time to time in order to meet the operational needs of the business.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
**Qualifications and Competencies**
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience depending on size of location
- Proven experience gained in either Cargo, Aviation, Ground Handling or similar industry
- Ability to allocate and manage manpower/resources
- Good working knowledge of Aviation Operations
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative is key
- Full Clean Driving License
