Careersolve are working with a specialist construction company who are looking for a Business Administrator/ Document Controller to join them in Carlisle urgently. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday and they offer a very attractive salary which is dependent on experience. This role is to cover a contract for a period of approximately 6 months but could be extended.

The **Business Administrator/ Document Controller’s **main purpose will be to effectively store and maintain accurate records of company documentation. The postholder will manage both electronic or hard copies of project documentation and produce detailed reports on this

**The Main Duties of the **Business Administrator/ Document Controller**
- Act as the first point of contact for customer queries regarding documentation control and distribution.
- Controlling company and project documentation including systems such as 4Projects and Building Collaborator etc.
- Adhere to and improve company document control procedures.
- Ensure all documentation meets formal requirements and are to the required standards.
- Deliver buddy to buddy training to upskill another member of the team in efficient document control.
- Sort, store and retrieve electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of clients and industry professionals.
- Produce detailed document progress reports for the senior management team, as required.
- Conduct regular reviews and document audits.
- Support the planning stage of projects.
- Ensure documents are shared in a timely manner in accordance with project milestones.
- Provide general administrative support to the engineering team.

**Skills & Experience required for the **Business Administrator/ Document Controller’s**
- Minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9-4 or equivalent, including Maths and English; or
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar Document Controller role.
- Experience carrying out a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Programmes (in particular, Microsoft Excel).
- Experience working with confidential documentation.
- Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to appropriately prioritise tasks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From £18,999.00 per year
