**Overall Job Purpose**

An expert in their own field and a voice for Vitality in this regard, the Lead Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach is accountable for the range of ways in which Vitality practically engages with members on a daily basis to educate, support and inspire positive lifestyle habits relating to the management of mental health and wellbeing.

**Accountabilities**

**Wellness Service ownership, delivery and development**:

- Ownership of all mental health & wellbeing wellness services for group business clients
- Expert development and facilitation of Vitality’s mental health & wellbeing services, including workshops and bespoke client sessions
- Key point of contact throughout the mental health & wellbeing provider onboarding journey, from sourcing, to legal, marketing and operational onboarding
- Relationship management with mental health & wellbeing external providers, leading quarterly review meetings, performance management and handling all escalations relating to provider / service
- Strategic management of Vitality’s client-facing wellness service offering, in collaboration with the Head Physical Activity Coach, Head of Vitality Coach Operations and other Vitality Coaches. Full accountability for KPIs within the area of mental health & wellbeing, which directly feed into agreed wellness service performance and engagement KPIs

**Subject matter expert & content creation**:

- Subject matter expert in mental health & wellbeing, providing consultation and assistance to teams across the UK Vitality Group
- Creation of mental health & wellbeing content (written, audio and video) in collaboration with the Social Media & Content team and Corporate Engagement team
- Subject matter expert for the Vitality Wellbeing Programme, working collaboratively with the Head of Health Engagement to co-organise and deliver mental health and wellbeing webinars

**Team leadership**:

- Line management and development of a Vitality Coach, specialising in mental health and wellbeing. Leading by example, facilitating professional development and ensuring the team embodies Vitality’s values on a daily basis in every aspect of role
- Full ownership of all training relating to quality control and oversight of Vitality Coach deliverables, ensuring exceptional professional standards are maintained in relation to all areas of mental health & wellbeing, making a significant contribution to group-wide engagement, health, sales and retention targets

**Client consultation (external & internal)**
- Consult with group business clients regarding their employee mental health & wellbeing strategy.
- Provide guidance and advice on how to make the most of the services available from Vitality to support their strategic goals, working with the wellbeing events and account management teams to facilitate seamless operational delivery for the client.
- Assist the people team with the development and delivery of Vitality’s internal employee mental health & wellbeing offering

**Skills Required**:
**Essential Qualifications**:
Examples of third-level education required include:

- BSc Psychology
- Postgraduate qualification (minimum Level 5) in Counselling or Psychotherapy with experience in CBT
- You are a self-learner with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships
- You possess strong planning and presentation skills
- You’re people orientated, self-aware with enthusiasm to coach and motivate others
- You’re proactive with the ability to juggle several priorities and be flexible to changing priorities
- You’re self-motivated, creative and willing to learn
- You have a growth mindset and are passionate about mental health & wellbeing
- You have at least 3 years of experience within the mental health and/or wellbeing field

**Desirable**
- Creating scalable health & wellbeing products and services.
- Providing expert services and insights which positively contribute to broader business goals beyond health.

Public speaking experience (panel discussions, live events, podcasts, etc.) would also be desirable.
