We’re looking for an Operations
Assistant to join our Integrated Passenger Transport service in supporting the
Operations Team Leader in the day to day operational duties regarding the safe,
reliable and cost effective operation of IPT’s minibus fleet.

Our Team

Our service
is responsible for the safe and efficient use of over 100 vehicles to transport
people in North Yorkshire. Our team comprises approximately 340 drivers and
passenger assistants that operate at locations throughout North Yorkshire.
The team
delivers approximately 750,000 passenger journeys per year including 20,000
wheelchair user journeys.

The transport provided enables people to access day
centres, learning opportunities, supported employment and other meaningful
activities in our community. We also undertake registered local bus services
and community transport journeys, we also provide passenger assistants for
children who require extra support to attend school.

The role

As an Operations
Assistant you will work with the Operations Team Leader to support the day to
day operation of a safe, reliable and cost effective transport service. You
will monitor the compliance of the Operation including checking that the
training of staff is up to date and that DBS checks, driving licences, driver
health checks and other elements are all compliant. You will then use this
information to produce regular compliance reports.

You will also make sure that safety procedures, team guidance and statutory
regulations are complied with at all times, and to work to defined standards to ensure that NYC vehicle maintenance
procedure is adhered to and develop practices to ensure local driver compliance
as required and liaise with Fleet Management appropriately.

You will
also be required to hold an Enhanced DBS which we will provide.
What you will
bring

You will have experience of working in a customer service
environment with good communication skills both verbal and written and a
working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word and particularly Excel.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in
Knowledge of routine vehicle checks and maintenance procedures, Knowledge of
Health & Safety issues in a driving and/ or a care role, Knowledge of
vehicle scheduling but full training will be provided.
