Our client, a successful distribution company based in Binley, is looking for a Local Negotiator/Buyer to join their team that looking to develop it's procurement function.

This role would suit a Buyer or Senior Buyer that is eager to change minds and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the implementation of supplier specific procurement, sourcing methodology strategies to drive performance on cost, quality and service
- Receiving purchase requisitions, developing a deep understanding of main suppliers, their coverage, services and standards
- Maintaining a healthy relationship with said suppliers, built on integrity and trust
- Deliver measurable cost savings
- Ensuring local sites are given full coverage throughout the year
- Experience in a Buyer or Senior Buyer role - CIPS training is a bonus but not essential
- Great IT skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - SAP is a bonus
- Commercial negotiation experience
- Brilliant communication and person skills - written and spoken
- Knowledge of supply chain, supply market trends and operational production process
- Team player, problem solver, good listener, self motivated
