We have been instructed on an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager (Trainee Recruitment & Development) to join one of our highly acclaimed global law firm clients on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Manager(Trainee Recruitment & Development) is responsible for coordinating all activities and processes relating to the London office Graduate Recruitment and Trainee Solicitors programme. The post holder may also be involved in the recruitment of lateral associates.

Key duties include:
Graduate Recruitment
- Develops relationships with stakeholders at universities, coordinates and represents the Firm at various university law fairs throughout the UK and other profile-raising activities
- Develops, reviews and maintains recruitment materials, brochures, student directories, firm website, Apply4Law and other relevant information for the London trainee programme
- Coordinates and administers all aspects of the firm's informal work experience placements: answers day to day queries, drafts offer letters, completes conflict checks, allocates desk and supervisor, prepares welcome pack and induction
- Reviews and measures the impact of trainee recruitment practices and identifies opportunities to improve existing practices and continually strives to suggest new initiatives and improvements to the recruitment campaigns
- Coordinates and administers participation in established diversity initiatives and strives to identify new initiatives
- Maintains recruitment statistics and provides regular updates to the Trainee Committee, Training Principal and Senior HR Manager
- Maintains records of up-to-date Trainee Solicitor and NQ salary data, including monitoring of market trends.
- Continues the firms transition to SQE

Trainee Solicitor Onboarding
- Liaises with future trainees regarding attendance at law school, including but not limited to course enrolment, payment of course fees, payment of maintenance grants and elective choices
- Coordinates all aspects of the new hire process, including but not limited to reference, conflict and background checks, confirms start dates and SRA registrations
- Coordinates all aspects of the new trainee induction programme

Trainee Development
- Acts as the first point of contact for any day-to-day queries from the Trainee population and carries out regular welfare check-ins with the Trainee population
- Coordinates the seat rotation process alongside the Training Principal and prepares documentation relating to the seat moves i.e PANs, secondment terms and travel arrangements for overseas seats
- Coordinates both the mid-seat and end-of-seat evaluation processes, ensuring all communications are distributed, the requisite evaluation forms are completed with meaningful feedback and that each stage of the process is completed within the due time frame
- Booking PSC electives for trainees and actively reminding trainees to attend courses and complete the online modules
- Coordinates the NQ process alongside the Training Principal and manages SRA admission process
- Provides regular updates and reports to the Senior HR Manager and Training Principal regarding trainees progress and future seat preferences

Human Resources
- Processes secondment letters for all incoming and outgoing secondees across the trainee and associate population
- Coordinates Diversity Survey on an annual basis, collating and publishing results with all relevant bodies
- Supports the Senior HR Manager, as required, with coordination of recruitment activities, including, but not limited to, advertising, postings, screening, interviewing and hiring
- Provides support to the London office Diversity and Inclusion Committee on any relevant initiatives or events
