The Mindsmatter service in Blackburn with Darwen provides Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services to the local population.
We have an exciting opportunity for a secondSenior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Band 6to join the Mindsmatter service for Blackburn with Darwen. You will be expected to carry a small caseload and provide appropriate Interventions to clients with common mental health problems. You will also provide weekly Case Load Management supervisions to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
Applications will be considered from Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who can demonstrate post-qualification experience that prepares them for the role - please see the Job description for more details. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing meaningful and effective therapeutic experiences to address common mental health problems.
You will have a formally recognised qualification andCompletion of Post Graduate Certificate in Promoting Psychological Wellbeing (IAPT)
1. To provide a high quality IAPT service to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems including those with a degree of complexity.
2. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Trust and local policies and procedure.
3. To provide high quality clinical supervision and mentoring to PWPs including trainees supported by the regular integration of caseload management principles within clinical supervision provision.
4. To deliver and support the delivery of an IAPT service in accordance with NICE guidelines, to meet key performance indicators and agreed activity levels.
5. To provide advice and consultation on clients’ care, to other colleagues and non-professional carers.
6. To utilise research skills to support audit, service development and research within the areas served by the team.
7. To work with and support the team lead and Service Manager in actively managing waiting lists
8. To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
9. To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands.
10. To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
