The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager.
The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convincepotential clients to do business with the company.
They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. BusinessDevelopment Manager will work with senior level management. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description,since it is the Business Development Managers responsibility to develop the new business coming in to the company.
This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company's competitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
? Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Co-Ordinator in regard to setting up
appointments with potential new customers.
? Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of
opportunities.
? Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client's organisation.
? Research and build relationships with new clients and set up meetings with the clients decision makers.
? Present a professional image at all times and present the company in the best light.
? Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
? Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's sales
management system.
? Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
? Understand the company's goal and purpose to continually enhance the company's performance.
? Liaise with the Foodservice Commercial Manager in relation to Customer pricing.
? Deal with retail customers providing detailed price and quality information.
? To undertake any training as deemed necessary by the company.
? Deal with customers over the telephone providing detailed price and quality
information.
? Deal with customer complaints politely & efficiently with the aim of ensuring the issue is resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
? Resolve customer issues with product or service levels.
? Liaise with management team to ensure that the best possible service is
provided to all customers.
? Visit current customers on a regular basis to assess their ongoing needs and
resolve any issues they may have.

Basic Salary : £30K - £35K, dependant on experience
Open Ended, unlimited Commission structure based on new sales won and business retention, typical successful person would expect to add circa £6K - £10k in commission as a minimum.
