Liaising with the various Divisions, you will ensure all invoices and expenses are processed in accordance with the agreed SLAs, champion the NO PO NO PAY practice, and promote the expenses policy through engagement with relevant stakeholders.
A key objective will be to drive and lead the department to meet the team and Divisional targets and KPIs. To achieve this through team engagement, monitoring and reviews. You will hold weekly team meetings and communicate clearly to ensure a full understanding of performance against targets/KPIs. You will promote an environment of continuous improvement with the team while providing an efficient and cost-effective service to the wider business.
**Key Responsibilities/Duties**:

- To manage the day-to-day running of the Master Data Management and Invoice Processing team, being the key point of escalation and support in relation to invoice or expense payment queries generated by the business or vendor.
- To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to with a key focus on Master Data in relation to exposure to fraud.
- Along with the P2P Manager, manage the team to ensure objectives are achieved and the core Finance Shared Service processes are upheld, including but not limited to:

- Vendor contact through all relevant means.
- Monitoring of KPIs to ensure all invoices and expenses are processed to agreed terms.
- Use key reports to manage the performance of the team and their outputs.
- Ensure VAT treatment of purchases and expenses are compliant.
- Champion the NO PO NO PAY processes and ways of working.
- Meeting with vendors and commercial teams as required.
- Ensure all adequate controls are maintained around vendor set-up, VIM, Sage and Concur.
- Plan and review the work of staff to maximise team performance.
- Work closely with client companies and vendors to ensure queried items are actioned, authorised and processed quickly and accurately.
- To ensure the smooth running of accounts payable close off.
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers, instilling the SHS values into all areas.
- Liaise with Account Managers, Finance teams and other Divisional departments to resolve invoice and purchase-related issues, and find ways of working for being proactive rather than reactive in association with the P2P Manager.
- Assist the P2P Manager in developing the department through the My Review process.
- Involvement in continuous business improvement projects within Finance Shared Services and the wider business to ensure that efficient and effective service and support are provided back to the business Divisions.
- To manage the Purchase to Pay team in relation to holidays and cover for reception via the agreed trained team members.
- Other tasks as required.

**Experience / Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent 3+ years of working within a P2P/finance-based role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Line management experience, especially in relation to performance and development.
- Excellent track record of working in a fast-moving and complex environment.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Team player.

**Desirable**
- Past Experience using SAP and Sage.
- Worked in the FMCG sector.
