Camborne, United Kingdom Cornwall Council Full time

This is an exciting opportunity for 2 x full time, permanent positions in the Contact Centre. If you like speaking to customers and go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service, then these are the roles for you.

The Contact Centre is a fast paced, interesting and ever-changing environment. The Contact Centre has a great team spirit where staff have the opportunity to develop and learn new skills.

The main responsibility of this role is to help customers that contact the council with queries and service requests over the telephone in regards to their council tax.

As a member of the Customer Contact Team this role is paramount in achieving the highest standards of customer service, ensuring the delivery of quality information, advice and promoting customer service excellence in line with the customer promise and philosophy.

Training covering all aspects of this role is provided by an experienced training team to ensure that staff have all the skills that are required to be successful in the role. Ongoing support and mentoring is also provided once initial training has been completed.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.

We are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed hours. More examples of our flexible working opportunities can be found here - flexible working options.

Fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our vision for Cornwall. In order to best serve our communities, we are striving to achieve a diverse workforce that is inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures and identities; e.g. race, disability, sex, gender, age, religion and sexual orientation. We are an equal opportunities and Disability Confident employer, and we will assess applicants on their merits.
