The Cancer Clinical Advisory Groups (CAGs) consist of clinical teams and administrative experts in the different types of cancer and its treatment. A service to support these groups to meet and relay information on good practice in cancer services was established in summer 2014. The service is hosted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust but acts on behalf of the seven provider Trusts within the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) region and with the SWAG Cancer Alliance.

The CAG Administrator post is an exciting role, developed to enhance the services ability to continue to support the provision of good quality care to people with cancer.

Applicants for the CAG Administrator post must have good knowledge of cancer services and current issues within the NHS, the ability to concentrate for prolonged periods whilst interpreting complex information, motivated to produce high quality documentation suitable for publishing, and have excellent communication skills. Previous NHS experience of working with cancer / health data is essential.

The post holder must be willing to travel regularly throughout the region and adapt working hours according to CAG meeting arrangements.
