**Your team**:We are the commercial creative content team supporting the Times, Sunday Times and The Sun delivering branded content to our audiences across print, digital, video and audio.

**Your role**: The Head of Production role is to manage all production & project management operations within Studio. This is a key decision-making role within the Studio which involves collaborating with other departments to build effective teams and the best quality content hitting commercial objectives. Role to ensure that all content is created on time, on budget and to brief. Ensuring all delivery projects are adequately resourced and working with the Head of Account Management to reach each projects KPIs.

**Day to day you will**:

- Line management of Project Managers and Video Producers.
- Supporting the team through encouragement, mentoring, coaching 1-2-1s, PDRs and Learning and Development
- Identifying opportunities for the team to train and encouraging them to become the best that they can be.
- Project Management and Producer assignment / workflow management
- Manage the professional development, workflow processes and skills balance of the Project Management & Video Production team
- Ensure the Project Management team in Studio delivers effective campaigns for clients on time, on budget, and to the best of the Studio’s abilities
- Ensure that all campaigns are delivered to the requisite profitability KPIs
- Liaise with editorial and operations to maintain the best relationships and scout partnership opportunities between Studio and editorial
- Ensuring the team establishes and maintains a deep understanding of the brands we work with
- Manage freelance, casuals, FTC, perm mix and staff agreements when required
- Create trusted partnerships with 3rd party suppliers
- Responsible for all production finance, budgets and consistent quotations
- Establish and enact production processes (H&S, legal etc)
- Work with the teams to define and establish clear and consistent processes to monitor, support
- Systems management (Smartsheet, Slack)
- Working closely with Studio management team to ensure all productions are on-brief and to the highest possible level in terms of creativity, storytelling and that they will achieve the client’s aims
- Working closely with the team on client presentations (PCAs)
- Monitor feasibility of all pitches, developing relationships with all sales people to ensure what we propose is doable within time frames and budgets

**What we’re looking for from you**:

- Strong experience in working as part of a senior creative management team - alongside other department heads from non Project Management backgrounds
- Considerable experience in senior (SLT) stakeholder management, with proven track-record in managing occasionally competing priorities
- Ability to work at pace and out of office hours as and when required
- Proven experience in senior project and customer relationship management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and able to make decisions autonomously with a structured, coordinated approach
- A background in media or publishing preferable
