Role purpose: The Head of UX & Research is responsible for ensuring that the user experience across all digital platforms is exceptional. They are the guardian of the Staysure group customer journey and will create complimentary yet distinct design systems across all of the group’s major brands. This role exists to champion UX & Research best practice and implement this new discipline into the business. The Head of UX and Research will play a key role in managing CRO and increase conversion through beautiful customer journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a UX strategy that aligns with the company's overall digital transformation goals.
- Lead and manage a team of UX designers, researchers, and analysts to ensure a consistent user experience across all brands.
- Introduce research as a discipline within the business and develop a plan for conducting user research to inform product decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and engineering, to deliver high-quality user experiences that meet business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a CRO roadmap to improve conversion rates across all digital touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyze user behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
- Ensure that all digital experiences meet accessibility and compliance standards
- Line management and development of in house UX talent
- Coordinating with third party agencies where relevant
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX and research

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in UX design, research, or a related field.
- Experience managing and developing a team of UX designers, researchers, and analysts.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, including design thinking and user research methodologies.
- Track record of producing beautiful and effective customer journeys - ideally for well known consumer brands
- Ideally across a range of target audiences
- Experience with CRO and a track record of improving conversion rates with design best practice
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility and compliance standards, including WCAG and ADA.
