About the role

The Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher is a vital component of our team, expanding upon the regular UX Researcher role by introducing a deeper level of strategic insight in our user research efforts. They possess advanced expertise in the field, harmonising user needs, business goals, and product functionality through their comprehensive understanding of research methodologies. Their seasoned experience is a significant driving force, guiding us towards the creation of relevant, human-centric intelligent automation solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Beyond the standard research responsibilities of UX Researchers, Senior UX Researchers may be also involved in the following:
Strategic Planning

Senior UX Researchers collaborate with Product leadership to shape strategic UX research initiatives, which may include product benchmarking or defining UX metrics. They provide insights that help guide the product's strategic direction and influence key business decisions.

Advanced UX Research

Senior UX Researchers design and either carry out or oversee complex, large-scale research initiatives that involve multiple products or various user personas, adhering to clear, pre-defined business objectives. This advanced level of research could include strategic discovery or longitudinal usability studies that enable the organisation to monitor the long-term success of their product offerings among end-users.

Advocacy

Senior UX Researchers collaborate with stakeholders, including upper management, to spread user insights across the organisation. This includes presenting research findings and advocating for user-centric decision making at all levels.

Consultancy

Senior UX Researchers advise the Head of UX and Lead Designers, suggesting improvements to research-related processes and workflow, utilising their specialised knowledge. This includes advocating for best practices and innovative research methods that drive effective user understanding.

Mentorship

Senior UX Researchers guide junior colleagues, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their research skills. This involves sharing best practices, providing constructive feedback, and nurturing a culture of continuous learning.
