**POST TITLE:

- **Sport & Physical Activities Co-ordinator (children and young people)

**POST GRADE:

- **£21,090 - £24,153 (20hrs pro rata)

RESPONSIBLE TO:

- Youth Development Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Lead the recruitment and engagement of children and young people to enable them to take part in positive activity
- Develop and deliver Consultations with young people to identify needs and wants around physical activities
- Organising, delivering and monitoring Physical Activities and Holiday Programmes
- Organising, delivering Community Events and Fundraising Events
- Supporting Konnekt Oudoors project delivering outdoor activities in and out of school

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To establish contact and work with young people within the community with a view to developing their fitness through physical education.
- To enable young people to identify issues affecting their lives and develop a programme of activities designed to address those issues. In doing so, young people should be actively encouraged to participate in the planning, organisation and evaluation of all aspects of the work with them.
- To develop fun, educational and healthy programmes of physical activity all year round
- To create and develop community events to support community cohesion and provide family fun
- To develop a number of fundraising events per year
- To establish effective working relationships with other professional and voluntary bodies that encourage and practice partnership working in the delivery of services for young people
- To attend all relevant meetings pertinent to the post.
- To meet the requirements as set by the Project to evaluate and monitor all areas of work.
- To produce and/or present written or oral reports as, and when, required or requested.
- To oversee the delivery of projects, targets and outcomes and the adherence of high professional standards of work.
- To carry out all work to Kidz Konnekt policies, procedures and values
- To take responsibility to meet targets and deadlines as per agreed work plans

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £11.58-£13.27 per hour
