We are looking for a motivated and suitably qualified individual to support service delivery.

The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient and effective administration support for the service.

The applicant will be required to be flexible towards the needs of the service.

To provide a comprehensive administration service to support admin functions for the Integrated Community Diabetes Service (ICDS) across Heywood Middleton Rochdale & Bury.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and clerical service including gathering and accurately collecting data and information from a variety of sources relating to service performance and delivery, whilst always maintaining a confidential, friendly and patient focused service.

It is essential that you possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels both within and outside of the service.

**Main duties of the job**:
To be the first point of contact for the Integrated Community Diabetes Services and to provide a comprehensive administration service to support all functions of the team. To deliver an effective and timely service for patients within the Bury, Heywood Middleton and Rochdale area.

The post holder will be required to undertake a range of tasks working in the ICDS administration function. Tasks include; telephone calls, accurate data input on a number of databases, electronic transfer of information via different methods of transfer (including fax and e mail), message processing, use of electronic ordering systems and involvement in service improvement projects on an ad-hoc basis - whilst always delivering a confidential, friendly and patient focused service.

The team is based at Moorgate Primary Care Centre, Bury and Phoenix Centre, Heywood and offers specialist diabetes interventions to patients, families and carers across a range of community care settings.

**Essential criteria**:

- Good basic numeracy and literacy to GCSE level or equivalent
- Vocational qualification at level 2 in administration.

**Desirable criteria**:

- ECDL qualification
- NVQ in Administration
- RSA II / III or equivalent level of IT skills

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Previous experience in administration
- Experience of team working
- Experience of carrying out delegated work
- Strong IT competency with specific knowledge of databases and Microsoft office suite
- Evidence of good organisational skills
- Demonstrate ability to complete general office procedures
- Demonstrate ability to manage own workload and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to use initiative
- Demonstrate ability to keep accurate records
- Evidence of working in a health care environment
- An understanding of and ability to work with sensitive ,urgent difficult and confidential situation
- Flexibility to be a team member yet can be self-reliant and self-motivated
- Interpersonal and time management skills especially communicating with people at all levels

**Desirable criteria**:

- Previous knowledge of PAS and Diamond
