**Weekly hours**: 20 hours over 5 days

**Salary**: £17,784 FTE

**Position Summary**

Working in a small team this role supports the Operations and Assurance team providing frontline IT, telephony and facilities support to the rest of the charity.

The aim of the role is to ensure that staff and volunteers to get the best from technology and, using technology, helps staff and volunteers increase efficiency and improve performance, whilst ensuring the smooth running of our systems.

**Main Responsibilities**

1. Support the Help Desk function in providing basic IT, printer and/or phone troubleshooting.

2. Manage the administration of mobile phones including resetting handsets to factory settings and new set up.

4. Provide an admin function to the Operations Manager.

5. Ensure first aid boxes remain appropriately stocked and replenished.

6. Maintain and update COSHH folder, contractor list, telephone list, and asset registers.

7. In the absence of the Facilities Coordinator carry out premises checks, assist with risk assessments, health and safety audits, weekly fire alarm testing and fire evacuation drills and support any unscheduled emergency events.

8. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, provide a basic PA function as required.

**Duties**
- Achieve the level of computer competency as required for the role.
- Participate in and contribute to the organisation’s activities, events and meetings.
- Undertake other duties which may be required by the organisation that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the role.

**Training**

The organisation is committed to support continuous professional development (CPD). There is an expectation that the post holder will complete mandatory and role specific training within the probationary period and maintain a level of competence throughout their employment with us. Training includes Safeguarding, GDPR and Health and Safety. This list is not exhaustive.

**Essential Skills and Attributes**

1. This role requires a basic disclosure and barring service check.

2. Excellent clerical skills, able to minute meetings, with a good standard of spelling, punctuation and grammar and good typing skills.

3. IT literate.

4. Problem solving attitude with an open mind set.

5. Common sense with a good humour and a sense of proportion.

6. Access to a vehicle for work purposes.

7. To demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

8. To demonstrate professionalism, whilst having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
