We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Information Technology team, as Perspectum’s first IT Intern for a 12-month fixed term basis In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining our systems and offering IT support to our colleagues.

**About The Role**

Your responsibilities will include hands-on work and close collaboration with our IT members. Throughout your role, you will gain valuable insights into Perspectum's core systems and processes, covering areas such as:

- Patch and Vulnerability Management
- Automation and Monitoring
- Device Configuration
- Onboarding/Offboarding Processes

You'll be an integral part of our team, actively engaging in a wide range of company-wide IT projects. From planning to implementation and ongoing management, you'll contribute your expertise. Additionally, you'll take on smaller projects independently, with guidance and support from the team.

During this internship, you'll gain invaluable insights into Perspectum's IT systems and their crucial role in ensuring smooth company operations. Your duties will include but not limited to:

- Provide comprehensive IT support to Perspectum employees, ensuring timely resolution of requests.
- Configure and set up devices and peripherals for new Perspectum hires.
- Assist in organising and facilitating seamless company update meetings.
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure IT projects meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to and maintain updated documentation on the IT documentation wiki.

**About You**:
You will have experience (working or studying) within a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems or Information Technology, or similar. Most importantly you will be eager to learn what an IT department does to support a growing company with. Your skills will include:

- Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Basic project management capabilities
- Technical skills with masOS and Windows
- Strong planning and documentation skills
- Solution focused attitude with a desire to research and learn to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience solving problems with Google and generative AI tools (Chat GPT, Bard, etc.)

We see our internships as a two-way street. While we are committed fostering your growth and skills within our corporate environment, we also empower you to take ownership of your projects where you feel comfortable in doing so. To make this works, we simply ask that you are:

- Ready and willing to work from our Oxford office full time 5 days a week, as proximity is essential for collaboration within the IT team.
- Have the capacity to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) without requiring UK work sponsorship.
- Available to work for the entire 12-month internship period (we are flexible on start dates)
