Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health Care NHS Trust is currently seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner who can commit to full time hours for the next 12 weeks working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. The main purpose of the role is to Provide a high quality,community-based service to the children and families within a multi-disciplinary team providing a community based child and adolescent mental health service. This is a developing service and there may be opportunities to work in different teams as the servicetransforms.

**What you will be responsible for**
- Provide specialist interventions for referred children and their families, within a therapeutic framework, both individually, with families and in groups. Also providing advice and support for other professionals as required.
- Establish and maintain supportive and therapeutic relationships with children and their families referred to the local Team.
- Act as the key worker for an identified caseload.
- Prepare assessments, treatment reports and discharge summaries, in accordance with local policies.

The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.

**You will have the following qualification/experience**:

- A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner in a UK hospital environment within the last 3 years.
- Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
- Undertake regular mandatory training*
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

**Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.**
