We are looking for a full time Payroll Assistant to join our current team. We’re in search of a dynamic individual to join us in response to recent 16% growth of the business. Operating from a modern, air-conditioned office in leafy Poundbury, we are part of one of the largest group of businesses in the Dorchester area.

You would be joining an established team, a number of which have been with us for over 5 years. This is testament to the work environment we have created where we work hard but know how to enjoy ourselves. We hold both a summer party and a Christmas awards party every year and quarterly team building events in between. This extends to socials based around some of core environmental values such as regular beach cleans or charitable sporting events and walks. It’s a friendly bunch with many across the group having built careers in various areas using our strong focus of paying for vocational training to invest in our people.

As a Payroll Assistant for Clipper Contracting, you will play a key role to ensure all payrolls are completed accurately, on time, and all required outputs are produced and delivered. You will be responsible for assisting with weekly payroll, which includes creating timesheets and invoices from the instructions received, making manual adjustments and reversals, calculating statutory payments, issuing of payslips and P45s.

**Key Skills required**:

- High attention to detail with good organisational skills
- Emphasis on ownership and problem solving
- Previous experience of Microsoft Excel is essential
- Previous payroll experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience with Merit software would be beneficial
- GCSE Maths grade of C as a minimum

**Package**:
We’re offering a full-time salary of £22,000 per annum, with access to a fantastic range of employee benefits:
