Administration and Reception Apprentice

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
Under the direction and guidance of the Office Manager:
- Provide a comprehensive reception service, taking queries from all stakeholders and dealing with general enquiries face to face or by telephone; taking messages or referring matters to the appropriate person.
- To welcome visitors both internal and external into the organisation, ensuring the correct safeguarding procedure has been followed
- Keep confiscated items stored securely. Returning them to the owner in accordance with the School Policy.
- Enter and retrieve data relating to students onto the SIMS.net database and other software packages as directed.
- Use the Academy communication system in order to ensure full effectiveness and efficiency;
- Assist with student welfare duties, looking after sick students, liaising with parents / carers and relevant staff, dealing with complex student matters, investigate and resolve any lunch account queries.
- Provide general administrative support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, complete standard forms, respond to routine correspondence.
- Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation.
