**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are currently looking to expand our team of Learning Support Assistants in our local SEND schools.

You will use your skills and experience, to assist the learners and students within our SEND schools. You must be resilient and have some level of experience working with behaviour, ASD, MLD or social, emotional mental health. You'll be an enthusiastic person with plenty of patience looking for a career change to bring new life and experiences into our schools. You will be looking for a change and wanting to be part of a team that will make a difference. Full training will be provided and the career opportunities are endless.

You will be working between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm. If you do not have an enhanced DBS on the update service, you must be willing to get one and this is something we can fully support you with.

**JOB ROLE**

The roles and responsibilities of Teaching Assistants are:
Getting the classroom ready for lessons
Listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
Supervising group activities
Looking after children who are upset or have had accidents
Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
Helping with outings and sports events
Taking part in training
Carrying out administrative tasks

**JOB CANDIDATE**

You must have:
An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
Good organisational skills
Flexibility and creativity
Read, Write Inc Experience is essential
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
Patience and a sense of humour
Experience working in schools or educational settings would be beneficial
An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
Eligibility to work in the UK (Two references, including your current or most recent employer)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £90.00 per day

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
