This post is a key member of the Group Performance team and will provide support across MFT in improving the level of performance accountability and assurance through the collation, monitoring and interpreting of data. You will be responsible in ensuring appropriate information is readily available for managing the Trust’s agenda and reporting performance to key forums including the Trust board of Directors and Committees. You will play an active role in leading on a number of key areas and projects using data to support change and improvement skills that will improve the experience for our patients. The role requires collaborative working across MFT, a sound knowledge of NHS access standards, ability to analyse and interpret data, project management and a ‘can do attitude’ with a strong focus on delivery.

Working across the portfolio of the COO Directors to improve the current challenges and opportunities faced with achieving operational excellence. Leading on key areas and projects on behalf of the Director, and delivery of change programmes. Leading on delivery and continuous development of the Trusts Integrated Performance Framework, ensuring this reflects national, local and commissioning frameworks. To ensure appropriate performance information is readily available for managing the Trust’s agenda and reporting performance to key forums including the Trust Board of Directors and Committees. The role has a transformation element to it as we support re-design and embed improved processes and technology to support the delivery of our strategic aims:
- Focusing on improving access, safety, clinical outcomes and quality

Improve the experience of our patients, carers and their families

Interpretation of patient data sets to meaningful actions and focus

Using data to drive improvements in performance, the post holder will utilise their skills to identify opportunities, promote and engage key stakeholders in the implementation of best practice and delivery of improvement across the organisation, using change management to secure optimal service outcomes.

This role will require collaborative working across MFT, project management, facilitation, and negotiation skills, and a ‘can-do attitude’ with a strong focus on delivery.

To lead on key areas of work and projects across the portfolio of Performance, ensuring effective governance is in place, delivery to timescales, evaluation and benefits realisation are achieved. Using project and change management methodologies where appropriate.

Lead on the delivery and development of the MFT Integrated performance reporting, ensuring this reflects national, local and commissioning frameworks. Working in collaboration with hospital executive teams and corporate directors to ensure the AOF delivers Trust strategic and operational objectives.

To lead on audit processes across the Performance portfolio, liaising with internal and external audit to agree key audit areas aligned to Trust requirements for annual quality and audit reporting. To liaise with hospitals to ensure that recommendations have an appropriate management response, and these are implemented and embedded, with follow up testing / audit where required. Based on intelligence and analysis to identify appropriate areas for local auditing to support improvements.
