**The Opportunity**

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a highly specialist civil service organisation. They are an award-winning employer, building brilliant services on cutting edge technology.

You will be joining their Digital Services teams performing a key role at a time of great change, playing an integral part in shaping the Infrastructure Engineer profession within their organisation.

We are supporting them to recruit an Oracle DBA to join their Database Operations Support team.

**_Please note this is a SC Cleared role that requires you to have lived in the UK for 5 years and does not offer sponsorship._**

**What the Oracle DBA will be doing**

As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance of Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Designing efficient and maintainable solutions
- Installing and configuring Oracle software and databases
- Developing and maintaining database backup and recovery procedures
- Monitoring database performance and identifying and resolving issues.
- Implementing and managing database security and access control

**What the successful Oracle DBA will bring to the team**

We're looking for a Database Administrator who thrives in a busy support role, is not afraid of a challenge, and can hit the ground running. You could have a proven technical background with solid evidence of database technologies such as Oracle RDBMS, Oraclerunning on Amazon EC2, Oracle running on Amazon RDS and MongoDB.
- Proven experience working as an Oracle DBA
- Excellent understanding of Oracle database architecture and concepts
- Experience in managing and monitoring database security.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
